DESCRIPTION:Transition Planning for Adulthood: Weekend Blitz- Day 1 of 2 \nFriday\, April 14 \n6pm – 9pm | Zoom \n& \nSaturday\, April 15 \n9am – 4pm | Zoom \n\nTransitioning to adulthood is one of the most important life transitions we experience. Youth ages 16-20 require support in navigating this critical time of life. \nThis workshop offers parents the opportunity to acknowledge the fear of the unknown and move forward with the acknowledgement that together we will work to support the values of each individual and family as a community. \nThis condensed workshop series will cover: \n·        Life Transitions – Understanding life transitions and the barriers to successfully transitioning to adulthood. \n·        Valued Roles in Community – Exploring social roles and how to be valued as a respected member of community. \n·        Visioning and Planning – Creating a plan for the future based on a vision supported by goals and strategies. \n·        Navigating the Systems – Understanding adult services and systems of support. \nBoth days must be attended to receive a certificate.           \nFor accommodations and questions\, please connect with Yonique@GatewayAssociation.ca \nRegister HERE
