Job Seekers

Gateway builds meaningful, paid employment relationships that work for both employers and job seekers over the age of 16 who live with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

We engage in a three-part one-on-one process (Exploration, Job Search, and Maintenance) that helps job seekers discover their Fields of interest, find a place of employment, and ultimately maintain meaningful employment. Ongoing support is available for both the employee and the employer throughout the entire working relationship.

Throughout the entire employment supports process we want job seekers to engage in each step and participate in the individually tailored components.

We do the pre-screening for employers, and offer candidates who have gone through our extensive employment support process. Our goal? To always give employers the “best fit” for the business and the position.  We look for long term success by doing the work needed up front.

Job Search

We research industries, positions, and observe job descriptions to come up with creative solutions to finding a good match. We build strong relationships with employers while supporting the entire employment process for both the job seeker and the employer. We provide interview skills on an individual basis and provide strategies or resources as needed. We don’t “place” people in jobs, we find the right fit.
