You will assist job-seekers to overcome barriers and acquire valued employment roles while building employer capacity for diversity and inclusion.
In this position, you will engage people with disabilities and employers to facilitate employment / recruitment outcomes. Engagement of local businesses to identify or develop job opportunities is a critical function. Caseload management, communication and collaboration are essential.
At least three years experience in Career Development or Recruitment, and post-secondary education / training in HR or Human Services. Business engagement and network development experience are required as is a demonstrated understanding of Disability and Diversity
Direct Duties – Support Job Seekers To:
• Engage local employers, promote individual job-seekers and program services / supports
• Job Placement, Job Carving, and negotiating work responsibilities / accommodations
• Support Job-seekers with career planning, job search and labour market participation
• Support employers with inclusive recruitment and onboarding strategies
• Related administrative tasks: file keeping, information distribution, team meetings, etc.
