Employer Spotlight: David Bishop, Vertical Staffing Resources

Since 2024, David Bishop, Area Account Manager for the West Coast Region at Vertical Staffing Resources, has partnered with Gateway Association to create meaningful employment opportunities for our participants through temporary work placements. 

These roles — including positions such as general labourer and customer service — have given participants valuable chances to build work experience, develop transferable skills, and increase financial stability. 

David is committed to looking beyond job titles and focusing on the strengths and abilities of each participant, matching them to roles where they can succeed. He also works to provide relevant accommodations whenever possible, helping ensure participants feel supported from day one. 

This partnership shows how temporary employment can open doors, build confidence, and create pathways to future opportunities.
