Hi, I’m Nazarana Lalji

Diversity & Engagement Consultant

Nazarana is a sixth-generation East African and second-generation Persian. She moved to Canada from Tanzania, when she was 14 years old and calls Canada her home. She has spent several years in the human resources industry and is passionate about people, especially those who come from marginalized groups. Nazarana advocates for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Through both her lived and professional experiences, she hopes to share her knowledge and passion for equitable practices within the HR realm.

In her free time, Nazarana loves to workout and enjoys Muay Thai, as well as dancing, playing tennis, and hosting bootcamps. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends. Travelling and seeing the world is also important to her as she gets to see the world from a different lens. Work-life balance is important to Nazarana, as she believes that employees need to enjoy what they do but also have downtime to prevent burnout.
