International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia
In this casual conversation, Sahana and B review terms and definitions specific to Sexual Orientation Gender Identity & Expression (SOGIE) identities and dive into examples of discrimination that often occur in the workplace. As a group, we will identify ways that coworkers, friends, family members, and employers/leaders can intervene to provide protection and support to their gender and sexual diverse teammates.
Learning Objectives
During this fireside chat, we will:
1. Define homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia
2. Discuss SOGIE-specific microaggressions that often occur in the workplace
3. Strategize ways to interrupt these exclusive and harmful situations
