MentorAbility Alberta is offering ongoing FREE interactive Industry Information Sessions! These information sessions give participants the opportunity to learn more about prospective industries, recruitment requirements and qualifications, and the next steps they may need to take to achieve their employment goals.
Bean Gill is an Inclusion Warrior, Paralysis Recovery Pioneer, and Change Maker who defies the odds. In 2012, she faced a sudden spinal injury while on vacation, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Determined not to succumb to despair, Bean chose to persevere. Bean co-founded ReYu Paralysis Recovery Center, an advocacy group called Wheels of Change, stars in a docuseries called PUSH, and is passionate about disability etiquette.
Please welcome the one and only, Bean Gill.
In this session, attendees can expect:
– Learn about ReYu, our origin, our culture, and our attitude towards ppl with disabilities
– Brief rundown on our programs with a couple of before and after videos to show how effective our program is and that neurorecovery is REAL
– A typical day at ReYu and what stands out about the members of our team
– Steps to get into the field of neurorecovery
– End with questions from the audience
This event is offered to all MentorAbility participants – so if you are a job seeker who experiences disability-related barriers to employment or a supportive employment service provider who wants to learn more about the industry, this event is for you!
