Your Story, Your Dance

Through these sessions we are looking into discovering your story through dance, and how that tells where you are from, and who you are, and what you love about you! The way each of us express our way of dancing is the exact technique required! Join Your Dance/ Your Story as we explore through using improvisational dance skills in telling our stories together. We will be sharing and experimenting with different forms of dance to tell our stories of how we want to be seen. Each week we will include a different approach to using dance to share our storytelling and unfold our creativity by learning from each other.
Dancers of all levels and abilities are WELCOME!

Session #1: Beginning our Stories | November 15, 2022
We will explore how we can dance together and create our movements as a community. By discovering and learning from one another to begin our story.

With our community support, we are going to source movements from the objects and memories that are meaningful to us to add strength to the stories we are creating.

Revisiting the dancing that makes your story joyful and how certain struggles and moments of grief helped you towards that joyfulness. What are the different ways that you can offer to tell your story through your dance?
