Hi, I’m Emma Kieftenbeld

Career and Inclusion Consultant

I am a recent graduate of the University of Alberta, where I focused on obtaining a background in Recreation Therapy. During my time at university, I was a student-athlete on the Pandas Volleyball team and still enjoy engaging in a variety of sports today. My previous roles include being a Respite Worker for children on the Autism spectrum, a Recreation Therapist working with brain injury and stroke survivors, as well as a live-in caregiver. I currently balance a part-time job working in a long-term care home, as I have a passion for seniors and believe we have so much to learn from them.

I highly value inclusion and strongly believe in community involvement for everyone, which is why I am so excited to be with Gateway Association. I love encouraging others to grow in multiple dimensions of their life and can’t wait to embark on a journey of growth myself.

When I am not at work, you can either find me surrounded by family and friends or exploring the great outdoors through snowboarding or camping.
