Just Want to Say Hello!

Hey Job Seekers, I hope you are having a great week!

 

My name is Christine, and I am the writer for Gateway’s blog. I write for blogs specifically focused on environment and body issues. I am a passionate mental health advocate and have started studying at university to become a social worker. I love helping people and creating change!

 

I have struggled with mental health since I have been in junior high. I was diagnosed with anxiety & depression and slowly felt that I couldn’t do things because of my labels. I felt that mental health has a stigma, and we are now only slowly breaking the cycle, but I want more change. For far too long I felt alone with my struggles.  For this, I have become a mental health advocate. I hope this is a safe space for all of us to discuss and learn from each other.

 

I am so grateful to Gateway Association for welcoming me to their team! I have helped create the Gateway Association’s mental health resource booklet, creating blogs, tips, and support for job seekers, and more!
